Isn't it obvious? Of cos good for the minority shareholders who think the offer is too low? Dodgy

How can it be good for capland who is trying to achieve 90% to take the company private? Rolleyes

Fair and Reasonable.
I'm really sorry, but can someone please advice me how to apply for the job of an independent director quickly? The bloke simply reproduced every word that Deutchbank said in his so called independent advice. How much did CMA have to pay him to perform this difficult task? Faint! Angry

I'm more than willing to do it for 10% of what he charges and i'm very confident I can match up to his performance Dodgy
Quite amusing actually.

The ID recommendation:

Quote:The Independent Directors note that the IFA has considered the factors in favour of the Offer Price
as set out in Section 9.1 of the IFA Letter and the factors against the Offer Price as set out in Section
9.2 of the IFA letter, in the context of a non-change of control transaction. The Independent Directors
wish to highlight that the IFA notes that the factors in favour of the Offer Price outweigh in number
the factors against the Offer Price. In particular, the IFA has noted on the basis of the analysis in the
IFA Letter, that the Offer Price’s valuation ratios are higher than the mean and median of the
27
Comparable Companies (as defined in the IFA Letter) which reflect the current market valuation of
the Singapore and China property sectors and are higher than the mean and median of the
Singapore Property Precedent Transactions (as defined and explained in the IFA Letter) which
reflect the premiums paid previously for property privatisation transactions.

IFA advice with regards to the Comparable Companies:

Quote:The Independent Directors should note that any
comparison made with respect to the Comparable Companies merely serve to provide an
illustrative perceived market valuation of the Company as at the Latest Practicable Date.

IFA advice with regards to the Singapore Property Precedent Transactions:

Quote:Accordingly, the Selected Singapore Property Precedent
Transactions may not provide a meaningful basis for comparison.

So can or cannot depend mainly on these two factors?
Somebody basically cleared the sell queue in one shot at 10:48:19 am by buying up 6,414 lots at $2.21

I'm holding out for a better offer, hopefully.

Me too.
It will be even better if not delisted.
E.g. Semcorp Marine. It initially plunged 24 per cent after the privatisation failed in 2001 (Offer Price $1.1), but then went on to grow from strength to strength, with its share price surging to as high as $6 in 2011.
Yes I remember sembmarine. My only worry is that it becomes unlisted shares. What is your plan if that happens?

Once Capitaland acquire 90%, they will purchase back the remaining shares.
