Kingsmen is a steady, steady business, which does not require additional capital to grow its regional footprint. Obviously, the larger and more entrenched the regional footprint of this business over time will increase the intrinsic value and longer term earning power of the group.

I suppose the above characteristics and Kingsmen's proven and driven management team - plus the generous twice-a-year dividends - make investing in this counter for the long haul quite straightforward. Not counting the dividends, Kingsmen's long-term share price chart should convince shareholders and new investors alike on whether it is a worthwhile long-term investment…

Announcement of Results.

Revenue - $336.4M (+13.6%)
Gross Profit - $84.8M (+11.7%)
Net Profit - $17.2M (-3.3%)
Diluted EPS - 8.84c (-4.0%)
Final Dividend - 2.5c

Commenting on the Group’s performance, Mr Soh said: “The dip in net profit is a result of a one-off settlement for costs for the legal case in China, which we announced in the first half of the year. Without these costs, we would have continued to deliver positive growth in our bottom line."

Good?
The one-off is 1st half which is understandable by FY. Would have a better picture if he has help explains on Q4 profit result. There's increase in 13% in employee benefits and 30% in other expenses. A slight lowering of just 700K would have put KMC up YoY which i would expects most CEO will try to do to manage the result. Well he didn't try to hide imo. Smile

If is one time significant jump event, that will be insightful as we may see significant jump in profitability in quarters ahead. And with Busy year ahead, he could have have given 3 cts instead of 2.5 cts dividends. Well greedy me. LOL.

Anything more than 2.5 cents will make me a happier man. Been owning this for quite a while now but my yearly dividend is stagnant and not increasing. I'm happy that year on year profits are going up (with the exception of this year); however I'm slightly disappointed that they are not sharing the increasing profits with the shareholders.
I have noticed Kingsmen's share price - last done at $0.98 this morning - has been keeping very steady in the last few months. In fact, the counter has been totally immune to the recent market mark-down which has even affected some of the blue-chips. Kingsmen is really solid!
Bet value investors are holding to Kingsmen. So hardly will have any movement Smile
Without any corporate announcement or action, Kingsmen has just hit a high $0.99 this afternoon with an unusually high volume traded. Something positive cooking?
Just to let forumers know - The Edge Singapore has an article on Kingsmen this week, with an interview with founder Benedict Soh.

A very good read considering The Edge hasn't covered the company in >1 year.

Regards
This is what I have observed and I called it the Edge magazine effect. Every time the Edge write good things on a stock, it will go up but after the effect wear off, the price will usually drop back lower : )

If you want to load up on the stock, do it after the effect has worn off.
If it's a good company, no point haggling over a 5-10% difference. Given I believe Kingsmen has a much lower public float.
