The company is turning into a S-Chip by common definition, or it already was?

Pteris Global appoints new non-executive chairman
20 Aug 2014 08:31
AIRPORT logistics systems provider Pteris Global on Wednesday announced the appointment of Li Yinhui, a 46-year-old Chinese national, as its non-executive chairman.

The company said the board had reviewed and considered Mr Li's experience before approving his appointment at an extraordinary general meeting held on July 23, where shareholders were voting on the firm's reverse takeover (RTO) with Shenzhen CIMC-Tianda Airport Support Ltd.

Mr Li replaces Lim Joo Boon, who has resigned as non-executive chairman with effect from the completion of the RTO. The reason for his departure has been listed as the "company has been making losses for two years".

For this company, the performance has been so bad that changing to a s-chip maybe the saving grace.

The biggest blame lies with the management and board. they placed a bunch of ex-accenture partners as chairman and board members, most of which have no real entrepreneur experiences and worst, they are retired with their bank accounts full.

First piece of good news from Pteris Global about a major RMB227.0m (approx. SGD45.4m) contract to supply passenger boarding bridges to Zhengzhou XinZheng International Airport, after the successful completion of the RTO by Shenzhen CIMC-Tianda Airport Support Ltd (“CIMC-Tianda”) on 19Aug14…..

In fact, the announcement also mentioned about another recently secured major USD20.0m (approx. SGD25.0m) contract to supply passenger boarding bridges to Hong Kong International Airport.

It looks like going forward the revamped Pteris Global Group is going to be very different from its past..

Pteris Global reverses loss in 3Q with contribution from CIMC-TD
By PC Lee / TheEdge Markets.com | November 16, 2014 : 6:37 PM MYT

SINGAPORE (Nov 16): Pteris Global ( Financial Dashboard), the integrated airport logistics solutions provider, reported earnings of $4.7 million for the three months ended September (3Q14), reversing a loss of $0.8 million for the corresponding period last year (3Q13).

This was achieved on the back of an increase in revenue to $51.7 million in 3Q14 from $25.3 million in 3Q13. The higher revenue was mainly led by an increase in project completions for the group’s PBB (passenger boarding bridges) business segment in both China and internationally.

In line with the higher business activities, other operating expenses rose 33% to S$6.6 million for 3Q14, from S$5.0 million for 3Q13.

series of recent contracts wins for Pteris, to the tune of SGD$64m.
In my humble opinion, not really out of the woods yet, but looks like the new CHinese owners are pulling off some decent progress on new orders. For info.
