I remember a few years back, some people were selling land on Mars or the Moon. Well, we could be seeing more of such multi-metaverses here. Why multi? Because everyone and anyone can setup their own metaverse.

For Marvel movie fans (like me), seems like Marvel called the trend correctly here!  Big Grin

Investors snap up metaverse real estate in virtual land boom

Wave, an entertainment company that stages interactive concerts, including Bieber's, earns a profit from virtual merchandise and brand sponsorships for the shows, which are held in neutral zones rather than a digital arena.

The company is not yet monetising real estate, but Adam Arrigo, a co-founder and the CEO, said he was researching possibilities.

"These platforms like Decentraland and Sandbox are pioneers in credentialing these plots of lands, these storefronts," he said. "Over the next few years, what we do is going to become a lot more mainstream."

Wow as long as the free money keeps flowing from the FED, there is no limit on these speculative plays and the creativeness of those makers. Next they are going to talk about injecting the "virtual property" into "virtual REITS" lol..

Very reminiscent of the dotcom boom.
Virtual currencies are worth virtually nothing.
