IPS Securex teams up with two firms to develop world's loudest whistle
SINGAPORE (Dec 23): IPS Securex Holdings ( Financial Dashboard) is teaming up with two US firms to develop and market the world's smallest but loudest whistle.
The existing so-called HyperWhistle was developed by Wattre Corp.
IPS has inked a memorandum of understanding with Wattre and United Tactical Systems to develop a new HyperWhistle that is capable of more than 140 decibels, compared to the 110 decibels projected by a car horn, according to a statement this morning by IPS, which supplies security products and systems to government bodies and commercial entities in Asia.
“This collaboration allows us to be more involved upstream in the development and manufacturing of a security product," said IPS CEO Kelvin Lim.
"Our knowledge of the Asia Pacific markets will help in the development of the next generation of products that are relevant to the specific requirements and environments of the Asia-Pacific," he said.
IPS shares ended flat at 67 cents yesterday.
