Slowly and steadily, Challenger has expanded its business and secured and defended its strong niche market position as the leading IT products retail chain in Singapore. Of course, the greatest achievement is under CEO Loo Leong Thye Challenger has been able to maintain steady profitability and pay out great twice-a-year dividends for a long time now. I just hope that the right timing for Loo to push ahead to ramp up its retail chain in Malaysia will come soon. Having penetrated into West Malaysia and been operating there for a few years now, Challenger should have by now built up a team of trusted and experienced local managers/supervisors in Malaysia.
The financial statements are quite strong. I think the capacity for growth lies in Malaysia. Revenue in Malaysia doubled from 2010 to 2011. Has anyone got any information on how the IT retail industry is like in Malaysia?

I don't think so. Even there is an impact, insurance should cover it. Big Grin
I really like this counter a lot, so much better than Courts
