CHINA Farm Equipment Ltd's controlling shareholder, Wang Shuping intends to make a voluntary conditional cash offer for the company at 28 cents a share.
This values the farm machinery producer at about $67.8 million.
Mr Wang controls around 87.71 per cent of China Farm Equipment and is chairman and chief executive officer of the company. He will be making the offer through Dragon Harbour Ventures Ltd, of which he is the sole director.
The offer price carries a premium of about 7.69 per cent over China Farm Equipment's last closing share price of 26 cents on Wednesday last week.
