Did the company provide any reason why no dividend was paid in FY12, unlike previous years? Any views on this? Thanks.

I think no dividend is OK as long as they are reinvesting the profits well. Dividend is over rated

I agree with your view on dividend, but my concern is why did they stop the practice after several years.

This PRC-based safe manufacturing business is getting better and better by the year! A gem stock in the making?

Dutech has not paid dividend for a few years now. They have cash and business is generating positive cash flow and yet they still dont pay a dividend.

what is your view on that?

Dutech last paid a $0.01/share Final dividend for FY11 on 21May12. Before that, Dutech also paid 3 other dividends of $0.01/share each for FY10, FY08 and FY07. So since listing on 2Aug07, Dutech had paid dividends for 4 FYs and not in 3 FYs - FY09, FY12, and FY13.

We must also bear in mind that Dutech's business volume had increased 140% in the last 3 FYs, from RMB 428.8 in FY11, to RMB1027.6m in FY13. Correspondingly, NP had increased by 195% in the same period, from RMB34.05m in FY11 to RMB100.36m FY13. Of equal importance, Dutech's Equity has also increased some 37.0% in the last 2 FYs, from RMB337.9m as at 31Dec11 to RMB462.7m as at 31Dec13.

So in effect, for every RMB1 retained since 31Dec11, it has grown to become RMB1.37 as at 31Dec13. Not bad, I thought.
I take note of Dutech quite some time already...
I had yet to take any action for only one reason...
S-Chip.

Dutech has a simple website under the its main PRC subsidiaries named under Tri Star Group…..
http://tristarinc.com/en/index/index.aspx
The website has pictures of the wide range of products designed and manufactured by Dutech in the group's HQ in Shanghai and manufacturing base in Natong, Jiangsu.

Dutech's wholly-owned German subsidiary (acquired in Sep11) FORMAT Tresorbau GmbH & Co. KG has a much nicer website showcasing its wide range of quality safes…..
