dont think will delist as ces still need strong support from bankers....more easily to get loan as a listed company....sometimes...working under father in law not so easy..especially with lots of relatives in the same company.....short.term rev and profit wont affect.much...but in.long term...hard to say....but i still.prefer raymond......really a great loss for ces.....
If there is any intent to "delist", company would probably let its share price "free fall"...
It might drop more in the weeks ahead...This morning dropped to 83.5

Not sure if the company would continue with the share buyback with the resignation of CEO.
The resignation of the CEO at such a critical junction is indeed puzzling. Why would CEO want to give up such a "good job"? The market will never know the real reasons...

Recent negative events
1. Unsold units at Fulcrum
2. Malacca deal called off
3. TM dispute
4. Resignation of CEO

Has anyone driven past Alex Mall recently? Is the TOP of the mall and hotel still on track?

It seems like Mr. market think that there is no severe negative impact. CES consistent share buy back has somewhat send the 'signal' to market that the company is 'under value'.
Raymond is the chairman of SeaCare Co-Op which has a JV with CES in Vietnam probably because of him. Also awarded public service medal last year. Maybe he resigned going into politics? To be groomed for next Minister of National Development? That's why have to get out of all property related director positions?

Just my wild guess.

alexis is still working, even on Christmas holiday. Still one week to go. can see that the company still rushing the final stage.
Hotel portion, the building structure has done. not sure the internal. should have no problem finish in 1H 2015
The company guidance in Q3 2014 result was that the mall segment is on track to TOP by Q4 2014.
The hotel segment is slated to TOP by mid 2015.

The current share price did not seem to reflect the likelihood of the mall being able to obtain TOP by 31 Dec 2014.
EPS ~ 20 cents

Has anyone passed by Alex Mall recently? Has the TOP of the mall been confirmed?

Tks.
Seems like still under construction when I pass by today.

there are 2 segments , namely the mall and the hotel . The company has continued to guide in its Q3 results (November 2014) that the mall segment will TOP in Q4 2014.

Has this outlook changed ?
