Wow, just july this year Kim Eng made a buy call at 61cts. Now become sell at 25 cts. I think the analyst should be sacked.

Kim eng's sell report on valuetronics
it declined 12% today to 33.5 cents

congrats to those who managed to cash out above 40 cents

I read from previous pages that this was a very hot stock that many vested value buddies was trying to talk up the stock

it ran up from 20 cents to a high of close to 60 cents
how it has lost close to half it value from peak
a very speculative stock indeed!

however if u think it really has value, then a price of below 30 cents could seem attractive

At 51cents, (pe 10 based on assumption earnings of 33mil per quarter )I find that its upside is pretty much limited. I wish all buddies who remain vested all the best and hope its ICE segment can do well in the following quarters to come.

good sell, well done!

S-Chips normally have lower valuations

The stock price already doubled from its 20 cents low a year ago

time to be fearful when others are greedy

fyi I sold this out for a 20% gain ^^

May i enquire why did you purchase in the first place if u already had knew about the options and mentioning that it would tank??

I bought based on what I read in this forum, but after further digging I decided to cash out for a 20% profit.

some red flags that I spotted are
1) management options
2) management selling their stakes
3) cash hoarding... yet not paying it out as dividends nor expanding business with it

what makes you 100% sure that valuetronic's cash holdings is real? Look at Eratat.

good sell, well done
As VI, we should blame ourselves instead of other.

Analyst report is good for reference and not a call for buy/sell. Read their disclaimer.

BTW, KimEng does not published any report in the beginning of 2014. They initiate Sell call on 13Oct2014. Probably you are referring to PhilipCapital bull call.

very well said, and yeah analyst report is to help us as an additional place for info and view, but cannot follow what they say blindly
btw do u guys there's value in this counter? what price do u all think would be good to enter with a comfortable margin of safety?
The cash and cash equivalents are worth about 21 cts a share. 25c TP is really low unless the company starts spilling red ink.

(Not vested)

I should have indicate I am not vested. As VI, I still think the analyst should be sacked or at least condemned in the company. Maybe we should consolidate a list of all analyst names who made bullshit flip-flop buy/sell tgt calls in short period of time.
To be fair to analyst, KimEng did not publish any report since they ceased cover in mar2012.

Not vested.
