Its a very good result for 50 years of economic progress . Singaporeans can be very proud of their country starting in 1965 with average annual income at $500 and now average annual income reaching $50,000 . Certainly well ahead of many other countries. Does anyone know the size of the Singapore Government's sovereign fund ?. And is it true 1 in 5 Singaporeans is a millionaire ?

including our expensive properties, whether HDBs or Pte condo, there are many singaporean that are indeed millionaires many times over!

It declares the average income has risen from US$500 at 1965 to US$56,000 at 2015. This I can accept.
But to forecast average income rising only to US$120,000 in SG100 means doubling in 50 years is a pessimistic forecast of little or no growth in the economy .
