Hi Cyclone,

I totally agree with you.

We should form our own judgement based on postings - not everything can be true or false.

In life, there are plenty of things that threads on a fine line.

Cheers
GG

As reminded by cyclone, no personal attacks and also name calling, please.

For Stockerman, IMO, it is a total waste of valuable time to post similar opinion repetitively, both for you as well as readers. Let's work together to bring-up the quality of the forum for the benefit of all buddies here.

For xlandjy, please cool down. Stockerman has the right to post his opinion, albeit overly done. If anyone lost money due to his posting, I am sure he/she will lose even without Stockerman.

Thanks
New Toyo is a very "prime" privatization candidate. Father has retired. Son has become Chairman. New Toyo/Tien Wah is a very formidable threat to Amcor. Amcor previously owned Tien Wah but gave up to New Toyo.

There is a very strong likelihood that Amcor will come back again. Amcor is on a very aggressive M&A path. Recent acquisitions have been based on EBITDA valuation of 6 to 8 times. (this will value New Toyo at least 55 to 73 cents)

My personal view is that New Toyo is bidding their time for a good price Smile
Let's wait and see Wink
this is like viz-branz father and son team..senior chng and junior ben

senior chng gave junior ben his share to take over...
earlier no one believes that New Toyo will give out any single dime.
Special dividend is just a small token. the bigger prize will come Smile
nextinsight came out with an article on nt yesterday..didn't know its ipo price was so high at 80cents..
perhaps there are also pple who bought at a high and still suffering painful paper loss
however there are also pple who bought in only in the last 2 years and enjoying paper gains now and special dividends :p
The IPO was at 80 cents. There was a rights issue at 12 cents in Aug 2009.
Like what GG has mentioned, it is a counter who has not seen daylight!
imagine the people who bought at IPO price of 80 cents and they did not subscribe to the rights issue at 12 cents...
how much have they lost?

New Toyo is coming down. Special dividend only 2.28 cents but dropped more than that...

The article was also too "positively biased"...

a. it did not explain why the Yen family bought out the seemingly unprofitable tissue paper business only to make a killing later on. Yen family benefited but shareholders suffered the losses.

b. it did not explain the entire SAH saga. there were much more to it.

c. SAH money was part of New Toyo's existing NAV to begin with.

Imagine those who bought at the rights issue price of 12cts. Basically the investment is carried at a fraction of cost and with a market valuation multiples of that. Big Grin

Weighted ave price @ 1625hrs = $0.3035, meaning price at XD is still stronger than at CD!!!

Don't forget about the traditional half year interim dividend. Another month for 0.8ct??? Smoke until you die...
before the trading day closes, someone will just buy one or two lots at the selling price just to jack the price up..

The real bids are below 30 cents...

we would PROBABLY not see New Toyo at more than 30 cents again..
