Well, take the BIG UPCOMING corporate development at SAH and by extension New Toyo as a good chance for Mr Market to realize the full potential of New Toyo Smile

how do stocks normally behave?

Once special dividend is declared, the share price will be higher by the amt of dividend declared.

Today price = 28 cents
Special dividend = 12 cents
Cum-dividend share price = 40 cents.

NAV of New Toyo (with 34% SAH stake) = 36.5 cents.

Tye Soon with NAV of only 21 cents shot up from below 20 cents to 30 cents when only 5 cents of special dividend is declared...

Mr Market does not really care about NAV. Shares can trade way above NAV or way below NAV like a lot of S-chips.
NAV 50, 60 cents but trading at only a few cents..plenty out there

Is New Toyo mis-leading investors in its annual report by still including SAH NAV ?
can new toyo continue to pay 1.9cts dividend after SAH sale? I have my doubt? What about Tien Wah? Can it increase its payout to New Toyo?

Guess NT will probably be keeping the payout to acquire new business?
$14mil net profit per year or about 3.2 cents EPS.

Can 3.2cents EPS support 1.94 cents dividends?

Not to forget $14mil net profit is after taking a hefty depreciation Smile

And i think Tien Wah is set to gain more business from BAT.

If you read BAR AR 2011, it is gaining market gain in Japan Smile

Also, BAT has launched the Budget Cigarette in Australia.
Plus in New Toyo AGM, it was explained that from Q3 onwards, New Toyo will have a NEW supply contract with PMI (Phillip Morris), the biggest market player in the Phillipines..

Super Boom ? Smile

you should go and read up Tien Wah AR 2011.
Tien Wah contributed about $10mil (SD) to New Toyo's Net profit (approx $12mil to $16mil per annum).

It is stated very clearly in Tien Wah Ar 2011 the following point about no immediate capital investment in the near term Smile

You can try calling Yen Family's bluff about " the need to review strategic position" stated in New Toyo's AR 2011...

Silly motherhood statement that does not say anything...

TWPH performed particularly well during 2011. Our footprint
remains relatively unique as compared to the general print
industry and I believe this will remain one of our distinct
competitive advantages. With capacity issues now addressed,
the next twelve months and beyond will require ongoing clear
focus on improving quality, operational efficiencies, and cost
effectiveness. A further benefit of the prior years’ additional capital
expenditure investment in gravure capacity is also that our Group
is now well positioned to seize new business opportunities for all
our existing operating segments as well as new segments of our
marketplace.

The combined profits of the six leading tobacco companies in 2010 was equal to the combined profits of Coca-Cola, Microsoft, and McDonald's in the same year. Simon Bowers writes:

Revenues from global tobacco sales are estimated to be close to $500bn (£316bn), generating combined profits for the six largest firms of $35.1bn – more than $1,100 a second.

Much of this profit is ultimately channelled to pension and insurance investors in the UK – British American Tobacco and Imperial are two of the largest companies listed on the London stock market.
Why did Mr Yen want to do with the shell of SAH? RTO?

A friend of mine in the field told me that it might take ages before such a deal can be drawn out..
And with the tainted history of SAH (i.e. sell out on the cheap to "SWP"), might not be easy for any RTO deal to materalize...

At the end of the day, u keep paying legal and consultancy fees and get nothing back in return. Cash position keeps withering down...
Boom for section 13, Petaling Jaya, Tien Wah and New Toyo Smile

KUALA LUMPUR: Jaya33 Cybercentre has become the first mixed commercial building in Section 13, the new Golden Triangle of Petaling Jaya, to be awarded the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Malaysia Cybercentre status by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

Jaya33 Sdn Bhd's appointment as the MSC Malaysia Cybercentre manager for its Tower One, Two and Three, was also formalised at the document exchange ceremony between the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) and Jaya33 here today.

The MSC Malaysia Cybercentre status is a prestigious award given to niche business locations that meet the MSC Malaysia standards and criteria to deliver the MSC Malaysia Bill of Guarantees to MSC Malaysia status companies.

In a statement today, Jaya33 said with the award, the Jaya33 Cybercentre would be an alternative and attractive choice for companies wishing to be located in Petaling Jaya, while enjoying the benefits that come with being MSC-status certified.

"With the inclusion of the Jaya33 CyberCentre, there are now 26 MSC Malaysia Cybercities and Cybercentres nationwide, to cater to growing demand of our ICT industry," said MDeC'S Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali in the statement.

He also said the Jaya33 Cybercentre's status as an MSC Malaysia Cybercentre, is another step towards transforming the Klang Valley into a globally competitive location, favoured by knowledge-based industries and attractive to global citizens.

MSC Malaysia is now home to more than 3,000 local and multinational MSC Malaysia Status Companies involved in various ICT clusters, namely InfoTech, Shared Services and Outsourcing (SSO) and Creative Multimedia. -- BERNAMA

why does Tien Wah still continue to keep their printing factories in the middle of Section 13, PJ (future Orchard Road of Malaysia)?
Solid set of results from BAT - organic volume continued to grow in Asia-Pacific regions - meaning more printing jobs for Tien Wah (New Toyo)

Good results despite currency headwinds
Performance in the first half of the year has been good, with continued pricing momentum, Global Drive Brand growth and stable overall volumes.
Despite currency weaknesses in key markets and tough comparator one-off events in 2011, the underlying business is performing well.
Adjusted profit from operations at constant rates of exchange grew by 6 per cent to £2,929 million. Adjusted diluted earnings per share rose 7 per cent to 102.4 pence.
We repurchased some 18 million shares in the first half of the year through our buy-back programme at a cost of £553 million and at an average price of £31.47 per share.
The Board has declared an Interim Dividend of 42.2 pence per share, an increase of 11 per cent. As usual, the Interim Dividend has been set at one third of last year’s total dividend and will be paid on 26 September to shareholders on the Register on 17 August 2012.
Despite the global economic uncertainty and the adverse impact of exchange rates, British American Tobacco has delivered another good set of results. The underlying business continues to perform well and we are confident of another year of good earnings growth.
Base on what is declared as maximum pay out of SAH, most likely 6cts pay out? I think this is not much of a impact to NT. If they chose to pay out - that would be very generous! NTA would jump to 42cts.

What I hope is that their EPS would rise by 30% again!!
