Even going by audited results, the "edging up" of EPS (attributable to equity holders) is miniscule. Did it even cover inflation growth? Highly doubtful.
All the more one should refer to "EPS attributable to equity holders" for comparision, from the pt of view of shareholders of that company.

Why went through the big trouble of doing rights issue and only get to enjoy that miniscule edging up of EPS?

Looking at New Toyo's EPS (now compared to pre-BAT times), it is even worse.
Can someone help to dig and show it to everyone here ?

Still remember that tissue paper business? If I am not mistaken, the loss in EPS is more than 10 cents (to equity holders, of course) !!!

Many tks.

If Stockerman has so much negative views on New Toyo and its management, why hold on to the 700 lots? It's really baffling?
Many members have asked this question but Stockerman has simply avoided giving any answers.

Tobacco

The executives of Big Tobacco have stopped insisting that tobacco is not addictive, but have not stopped making a killing from the deadly addictive quality of their product. The steady demand, particularly in the developing world where regulation doesn't reach, breeds a booming business in smuggling, as well as aggressive marketing schemes targeting the poor, minorities, and children. International treaties and successful lawsuits have helped to slow the malignant spread of tobacco in the United States and other developed nations, but the industry remains one of the largest and most influential in national and international politics.
Stockerman,

how does receiving 700,000 * 0.0228 = $ 15,960 make u feel ?
sorry, it should be 715,000 x 2.28 cents = 15K.

Did not feel much. it is just part of portfolio.
As I explained before, my investment philosophy has already been to know all the problems of all the counters before it is too late and regret later Smile
Better to highlight all the fundamental issues early and know them right in your heart Smile

The raison detre for New Toyo is to support BAT and its expansion in this part of the world. This is its real value and I don't deny it Smile

If BAT flourishes, New Toyo/Tien Wah will follow suite Smile

Im sure there are many in this forum much much richer than us...

Just be humble and recognize the weakness of all the stocks in your portfolio...
I'm just shocked that with so many weaknesses in this stock, you are still holding over 700k shares.

if this stock had fewer weaknesses, I wonder how many more you would have held in your portfolio

noted, Mr stockerman.
There are MANY big threats to traditional smoking. E-Cig, Plain Packaging, etc are just some of them....
But in the next few decades (when I am still alive), New Toyo will probably continue to be printing...If not, it might be swallowed by some big players... Simple...

Hi Man,

I think you have smoked enough on N Toyo untilits plastered all over with Koyo.

I have my fair share of complains about Koyo as well.

However, for the sake of everyone, please move on and contribute positively.

Vested and Disgruntled
