Largest capitalised IT stocks averaged 34% total returns in 2014
- Information technology (IT) is the application of computers and telecommunications equipment to capture and transmit data, often in the context of business.
- Across ASEAN, there are 273 primary-listed stocks that are categorised by GICS to software & services, technology hardware & equipment, and semiconductors & semiconductor equipment with a combined market capitalisation of S$39.8 billion.
- The 20 largest capitalised stocks representing three different sub sectors have a combined market capitalisation of S$10.0 billion, and an averaged total return of 33.6% in 2014.
