it should be known that using google map's api is not free.

The key is whether google map is as powerful as S3(ESRI mapping product).
It is also very hard for companies, government agencies adopted S3 to drastically change the technology platform as millions of dollars might has been spent on the development, not mentioning of other security features, etc...

Just some food for thoughts. Wink
if you are thinking of implementing a fresh one, cost is a good consideration and google map api can be much cheaper. if the network of developers that know how to code with that api grows esri will need to find where is their edge.
A$2m over 4 years to secure a 60% interests in potential manganese and iron ore reserves is an affordable deal.

Been a shareholder for so long and didn't realise that there is an update site solely for the main $ spinner - Boustead Projects
After a somewhat quiet March 2012, Boustead Projects has announced its 10th DB&L contract with Bombardier this evening, taking Boustead's DB&L leasehold property portfolio >96,000 sqm. Big Grin

As a shareholder, it was greatly please me if this portfolio should cross the 100,000 sqm mark!

Slowly but surely cash hoard is being deployed for productive use. Can look forward to more visibility in the future with more recurrent income stream.

Next up BP - JCS, whatever that is.

At 88, sustainable yield of 5.7% with a cash hoard of more than S$0.30/share, it is deeply valued and can only get better. Have Full Faith in FF

I noticed that most of the DB&L projects' size are pretty small compared to D&B's. This time i guess it's around 6,000 sqm?
A very rough calculation based on historical projects (plus 50% guessing), let's say $1M for 1,000 sqm, this project value would be $6M. Not really significant although it is a good add on.

Frankly, I invested in Boustead partly because of FF Wong. Nonetheless I try to be as objective as possible and always try to invert his every decisions.
Eg: I still struggle with his decision in adding another cyclist business to Boustead while they are still struggling with Salcon.

But again some calculated risks should be taken in order to climb higher mountain. I just hope that we, as investor, don't get carried away, because in my opinion this investment in OMH has a lot of risk factors.

Just my 0.02 and no offence intended.

Hi VS,

I am also hanging in Boustead because of FF. Main question apart from him, have you seriously ask why are you still holding on? To be honest, share price performance is nothing compared to any of the hot stocks - Hyflux from water, any ind prop reits, any construction stocks and possibly any mining/resources stock.

Hence, I think you must be hanging on to some hope - I dunno what that hope is though - only you can enlighten me. Apart from hopes, if we look into the rear mirror, the company has grown stronger over the years. This is notwithstanding the numerous high profile blunders that they have hit.

Boustead's luck has been tough. If they have done nothing to sell the prop to Mapletree or AMB, they would have been a Bousteadtree by now. If they didn't buy into Salcon, they wouldn't have bleed for years. If they didn't go to Libyan, they wouldn't have lost so much $. Even then, the cash hoard that they are sitting on is still bigger than in 2008 when they celebrated 180th anniversary.

Boustead has a very transparent IR person. His number is always listed, have you ever contacted him on your doubts?
