The mood in the market seems to have darkened a lot this month, beginning with the US jobs report. With the US unemployment rate now down to 5.9% how long can the Fed keep interest levels at emergency lows? Yellen keeps finding excuses to do so, but is she already behind the curve? QE has now tapered almost out in the US; meanwhile Europe is sliding into a black hole, but the Germans have a visceral objection to the ECB doing real QE. Good news for Value Investors - market has been very boring this year, and few interesting stocks to pick. What we need is a good bloodbath to throw up a lot of juicy opportunity. I remember the happy hunting days of early 2009 fondly, Fortune Reit below HK$2, Meiban at 12c, Yongnam at 9c, all 3 to 4 baggers later. I have been moving to 30% cash in the last 4 months, so lets hope for interesting times.

Haha it could be just the beginning. This is just the effect of the FED stimulus ending this month. Next month will be much worse before the FED starts another round of QE.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, I see the SGX correcting to below 3000 level, thats where I'll be buying.

imho, just buy in your pre-select value counters when you feel your M.O.S has reached, no need to really keep waiting for the bottom...
Yes! Each of us has different MOS of each counter.

Too early IMHO. No blood on the streets yet, just some minor bruises. Not nearly enough fear. Wait until you see the whites of their eyes (wide open in panic), then pull the trigger.
On the other hand, if a tasty bit of game wanders in front of your sights, there is no need to wait, we all need a snack and some target practice.
