Not sure where to ask this, but is there a group where value investors can meetup in Singapore? I've heard there is a group that does regular meetups in Singapore.

I'm a value investor in HK and live in HK currently, but I really want to expand into Singapore as well.
Sg value investors should expand to hk. Haha. Sgx overmined by VBs. Haha
You probably should, a lot of self proclaimed value investors in HK don't even know what value investing really is. But then, some quality companies you might think undervalued won't ever reach the full valuation because no one wants to buy the top.
Tau, u coming to SG soon??

Hi tau, are you a HKer? Do you know of any blogs or websites in HK that is similar to VB? I invest in HK stocks but could hardly get any info. it will be good to share info(not those shouting type!) with some local HK investors.

Yes there is a group in Sgp that meets sometime to talk about stocks. The contact person is Mano. If you are tune to local investing scene you would have heard of him.

Hi Jacmar, do you know if it's open to anyone to join for the meetup? If yes, do you know how to link up with Mano?
I would love to join such a meeting if there is a good mutual learning too. To be effective probably need to be in confidential groups of 6-10 pax of similar wealth levels and maturity? Along the lines of tiger21 organization.

I'd say not more than 5 per group, when there are that many people with very different opinions and some don't even know what value investing is, it will hinder value discussion significantly.

I've been to this meetup group where this guy with probably say US $5 million capital for his portfolio who thinks every single company not listed on the index (ie the non blue chip companies) are all "f&@$ing gross". I guess you can say that if you are a billionaire but not when you only have a few million.

I'm not trying to defame anybody but highlighting an experience I had. This is something to avoid because it would waste our time.
Hi Tau, Jacmar and Greypiggi,

Perhaps we can first form out meetup group before any further progression, it be nice when we can exchange domestic info across. The first step is the hardest and building mutual understanding is crucial.

Kindly drop me a pm if there is any potential meetups, thank you.

Cheers,
S.K
