anyone has any particular views or why this should be a long? I see 5 times book with extreme reliance on suppliers and top management network, r/s. don't feel comfortable with this at 35 cents.
The current market price is around 70 cents, and the OSK-DMG's TP is $1.26, slight less than double...Big Grin

It seems a promising small cap, with MC of slightly more than 50 mil.

IPS Securex started at "buy", $1.26 price target by OSK-DMG

SINGAPORE (Nov 27): OSK-DMG has started coverage on IPS Securex Holdings ( Financial Dashboard) with a "buy" rating and a price target of $1.26, based on seven times projected FY2016 earnings.

Homegrown IPS supplies security and surveillance systems to homeland security agencies and companies.

The company is "in an advantageous position" to benefit from growing political instability in the region, a situation that has prompted governments to boost their defence budgets, according to OSK-DMG analysts Jarick Seet and Terence Wong.

One of its new products, the PepperBall, is "the next big thing", they said in a note.

IPS was appointed the authorised distributor of the PepperBall in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Cambodia in July.

IPS Securex secures US$1.62-million contract in Vietnam

SINGAPORE (Nov 28): IPS Securex Holdings ( Financial Dashboard) has clinched a contract worth US$1.62 million ($2 million) to sell 50 sets of Hyperspike acoustic hailing devices and accessories to Vietnam.

IPS, which supplies security and surveillance systems to homeland security agencies and companies, said in a statement today that the contract is expected to contribute to its earnings for the current financial year ending June 30, 2015.

It secured the contract with a Hong Kong-incorporated company, which it did not name.

IPS shares rose 7.3% to 73.5 cents yesterday.
The share split is real fast, only 6 months after the IPO. Current price is 72 cents per share, or 36 cents per share post-split. It should be still well above the proposed minimum price of 10-20 cent per share...

IPS Securex teams up with two firms to develop world's loudest whistle

SINGAPORE (Dec 23): IPS Securex Holdings ( Financial Dashboard) is teaming up with two US firms to develop and market the world's smallest but loudest whistle.

The existing so-called HyperWhistle was developed by Wattre Corp.

IPS has inked a memorandum of understanding with Wattre and United Tactical Systems to develop a new HyperWhistle that is capable of more than 140 decibels, compared to the 110 decibels projected by a car horn, according to a statement this morning by IPS, which supplies security products and systems to government bodies and commercial entities in Asia.

“This collaboration allows us to be more involved upstream in the development and manufacturing of a security product," said IPS CEO Kelvin Lim.

"Our knowledge of the Asia Pacific markets will help in the development of the next generation of products that are relevant to the specific requirements and environments of the Asia-Pacific," he said.

IPS shares ended flat at 67 cents yesterday.

IPS Securex gets $5-million Singapore government contract

SINGAPORE (April 1): IPS Securex ( Financial Dashboard) has clinched a $5-million project from a Singapore government agency to provide maintenance support services for two years.

The deal stems from an option exercised by the government agency based on a contract it signed with IPS Securex in June 2013, the Catalist-quoted company said in a statement.

The agency was not named.
Old news but I think it warrant some attention as the event is to be held in 2 weeks time.

IPS Securex starts pilot run of off-site healthcare monitoring system

SINGAPORE (April 20): IPS Securex has started a six-month pilot run of its off-site healthcare monitoring system in Singapore.

The project involves real-time communication and interface between volunteers of the Kembangan-Chai Chee Seniors Activity Centre (SAC) and elderly residents at home who require emergency assistance.

"This action initiates a video conference with the volunteer at the SAC who can connect with the elderly at their own homes in real time," IPS said in a statement today.

"This also allows remote monitoring to assess the situation at the elderly’s premises."

IPS said its system can be integrated with third-party devices for health monitoring, personnel tracking and other services.

Separately, the company said it has started co-production of a portable acoustic hailing device designed to withstand harsh marine conditions.

This is the first time IPS has moved upstream into manufacturing.

IPS Securex posts 11-fold surge in net profit to $2.3 mil

SINGAPORE (Aug 20): IPS Securex Holdings, the provider of security products and solutions, posted an 11-fold surge in net profit for FY15 ended June to $2.3 million from a year ago.

This was achieved on the back of 25.9% increase in revenue to $15.7 million.

IPS Securex Holdings attributes higher sales of the group’s security solution business and its maintenance and leasing business, which recorded increases of $1.7 million and $1.5 million respectively.

As at end June, the group held cash and cash equivalents of $4.8 million.

The board has recommended a final dividend of 0.75 cent per share for FY2015.
