The trending news site ThinkProgress has just uncovered an app that has raised $1 million from investors.  Well the only thing the app does is to allow you to send the word ‘Yo’ to your friends.

Do note that the app took eight hours to build though.

Thanks for the news. If it is true, that may be a good indicator for the "greedy" from investors. Tongue

My thoughts about a tech bubble.

I think there are 3 tech companies.

One of which is the newly emerging tech companies, especially in the area of social media, e.g Facebook, Twitter etc

Another type is disruptive technology companies whose technology is around for donkey years, but suddenly either the market or technology ripen such that everyone want a piece of it. Think touch screen less than decade ago is popularized by apple and more recently, 3D printing.

Third type of tech companies which have been around for many donkey years, the back support tech companies, data storage etc.

I think bubble refer to the first type of tech companies.

2nd type of companies, the survival will be big winners take most pie, the crumbs give to the ikan bilis.

3rd type, we already know which are the Eco-system and the household names that will most probably survived and prosperous longer than we think.

Although all 3 types faced tough competition. The third type can still be a good bet.
