In order to maintain the fire, you need to keep on adding fuel, one way or another.
Like what i say above, we all can anticipate HIS SACKING but he just a nobody, ordinary worker; Why must there be and announcement by TTSH? If PINKY is not involved, ROY still a "nobody" you know, except that he dares to speak out (aka may be suicidal to his life's career) whether he talk sense or not at times.
i think this is TTSH's fumble - 越描越黑 is correct.

If they chose to fire and keep quiet until the bloggers release the news, it would come across as TTSH is in collusion the Govt and that the Govt is doing underhanded things behind the back.

This will start another fire, the current method stops the fire before it even starts.

I would think it makes more sense to issue a statement after Roy make noise.越描越黑 basically like I said 画蛇添足 or someone trying to geh kiang to score points

Roy only self-sabo by upping the stakes by fighting publicly. It should be seen that he is fighting for himself. not for the truth or justice.

Confrontational politics do work in SG. It works for the ruling party, not for the rest. Just like constructive politics, one rule for one, another for the rest. Double standards. Tongue

Chao kuan politics of 80s and 90s is over. PAP can no longer shape minds and control info with the control of media.

My view of PAP and WP now is each is giving the other enough rope to hang themselves. Hahaha. Whoever screw up less publicly benefits.

I would imagine someone up there in TTSH realized "Roy Ngerng in court" and "TTSH" in the same news headline won't make for good press. But did they fumble up in handling this? Quite possibly.
ROY’S LAWYER M RAVI RESPONDS TO MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND TTSH

Ravi made a good point that MOH should not 'chap one leg' into the matter.
As discussed TTSH and MOH is opening itself to ridicule. Someone at TTSH geh kiang. IMHO they deserved to be ridiculed to know when to shut up, just as Roy deserved to be sued to know when to shut up.
I don't see it that way.

Any person or organization can act on its own. It cannot mean that just because A is sued by B for defamation, everyone else has to wait for that case to settle. It is totally ok, for example, that in the mean time, C comes out and call A a liar as well and act accordingly in C's own interest. As long as C is satisfied that its own action is defensible.
IMO , someone behind Roy plays the game well , Believe Roy is only a small prawn . I could be wrong.
