Share w you my post on Nextinsight:

Quite clearly CNMC is likely to report a good set of result this coming quarter.
Production level has been going up, gold prices going up and production cost
coming down. With so much uncertainties coming from Brexit, it is likely that
gold prices will hold or go upward. By how much, is anybody guess. And what' s
the impact on CNMC is also anybody guess.

On my part, i am holding till after the company' s presentation at the Asia Investment Forum
... 8th Scaling New Heights and after the comjpany' s 2Q results.

Take care n all the best to all!
Welcome to valuebudddies josephyeo, most of our vb read next insight too.

Actually I am quite surprised about the pulai mining site acquisition. If so profitable how come no other company is mining there already? Gold price has been doing ok for a few years already.

Reckon the recent run up is due to gold price and positive analyst coverage and of course market speculation (look at the massive volume now). Very high beta commodity play on gold, will have a steep drop should gold price go down for whatever reason.

I think there was mention that for past years there have been no significant results from the pulai mining site. so it's up to cnmc team of experts to perform the midas touch. good thing is alot of data available and cnmc team has track record with sokor project which is in the same state as pulai mine. Even if the pulai mine is only 50% viable, I believe the profits will be very attractive.

I tend to agree with your opinion. Production from pulai mining site produced 260kg (9,171oz) from Mar 11 to May 13. What happened after May 13?
Probably they need some help from the experience miners?
Maybe this deal is matchmake by the State Government? Afterall, the state government collects royalty (from CNMC at least)..
If CNMC can apply its production methods.. the investment in pulai mine should be fruitful.
Gold mining is not rocket science, dun think small company like cnmc have any special method the bigger gold miners dun have.

In the end depend in gold price. Watch the big player like soros, if he cash out, gold will start going down.

Actually the pulau mine doesn't concern me as yet. The key point is, presently the latest "all-in-cost"
is $487 and gold price is above $1300. Together w all time high production-that imply lots of profit.
There is still lots of gold to be mined in current sokor site.
Other consideration .. negligible debt, high cash holding n increasing dividends. Last year dividend was
0.945 cts .. yield of close to 2% at current price.

I tend to agree that the all in cost is low which results CNMC making a lot of profits. Current High gold price is a bonus to them. Try not to read too much on Soros action, one person cannot change the price trend. How does one do investing if you keep thinking of what soros is going to do..right?
I also don't think that cnmc share price is entirely peg to gold price. like what bluekelah mentioned. gold price didn't move much but how come the share price continued north. it is due to analyst coverage that this penny stock was uncovered and it has real value in it.

hmm another thought... then how come bigger gold miners cannot match cnmc production cost and discover gold mines like sokor? In terms of financial strength, experts and technology, the big players are advantageous over cnmc.

That's a good point. Would need to get hold of some cost data from other gold miners first.

In fact afaik no analyst has yet to do a site visit. And the website for co. Is in hongkong??

The sudden ramp up in volume extracted is also quite surprising, it's like doubled from 2014, how come took so long to ramp up and such a sudden ramp up, just when gold price is doing well lol..
