Nick means he should has invested in those 5 picks with his 30% cash fund.

Am i right? Big Grin

Verily so, Mr Moderator ! Blush
I think what bro egghead trying to say is that Uxx has gone up for 55% since 18 Feb till yesterday, not yet counting the dividends declared during the period. If Nick were to utilise all his cash fund, it would be better to invest in Uxx more rather than the 5 he picked on this thread.

My guess the main reason is diversification. I wouldn't over-allocate fund into a stock, no matter the confidence level. In other words, there is a min and a max in a stock. I do respect the destructive power of black swan events. The last experience was Japan earthquake, followed by Thai flood, which is totally unpredictable.

I assume Nick is thinking alike.
My picks are

GP Hotel
Cogent
MIDAS
Aspial
FCL
Haha still having contributions! nice!!

It has been 5 months since we last updated our holdings.

Tan Chong = Huge pieces of Freehold, giving around 3+% dividend. A potential slow wait.

Low Keng Huat = Huge potential with the recognition of revenue coming in start of 2015. Finishing the Paya Lebar mall in start of 2015.

St****** = Stable management and unlocking of properties in AUD. More downside due to very weak AUD in the short term. 2017 is the year and could be a very long wait.

Singapore Shipping = Same stable management as St****** and bought a few ships recently. Profits are expected to go up sooner than St******

Hong Leong Finance = Trading at 0.7 price to book ratio. Bigger than Sing investment and Singapura Finance. Very small potential unlisting from Hong Leong Group. Dividend is 4.5%+
This thread should be revived. There are bargains and there will be more bargains.
