For all you know, this takeover may just be a cover-up for any cockroaches in olam. If olam stays listed, all singaporeans will come to know of any bad news that is made public. If olam is delisted, uh-hmmm, you will never hear of any bad news.

Well this is just my opinion, if temasek was serious about taking it private, it could have done it when muddy-waters whacked so hard many months ago, why do it now ...
I like your theory and am convinced that someone out there obviously know about the bid and make a lot of $.

Unfortunately given its caveat emptor and unless you have the guts to bet purely on the charts, there is little change in fundamentals that would have enable anyone to capture this moment.

TH only got 24.6% now. no need to throw a few more billions to get extra 56.4% to cover-up. Cheaper to just sell slowly...

so many people involved in any takeover deal - Offeror, Target, the inv bankers, the financiers, potential partners, the regulators. It is hard to keep secret...
