Special insurance policy launched for elderly drivers
SINGAPORE — An insurance policy specifically catered to senior drivers above the age of 65 was launched by the Automobile Association (AA) of Singapore and Liberty Insurance Singapore today (Jan 23).
The AA Senior Motor Plus takes into account the applicant’s driving record and claims experience and covers driving in Singapore and West Malaysia.
Policy holders would only need to pay for standard excess with no extra loading fees.
The AA Senior Motor Plus comes in response to an increasing number of complaints from senior drivers having to pay higher premiums and being denied cover when they cross 65 years of age.
