this forum has gone from Hot to cold in the last 2 months.
Many value stocks have gone quiet with virtually no interest.

is value investing dead ?
which value stocks are you talking abt?
I do get tinge of envy when I see hot stocks rocketing in days. Dead or not, I am deadset on the path of value-investing. No more guts for the high rollers, but it does made me feel inadequate, is my skills and knowledge really that lousy...

But I will take no other path. Smile Follow value investing even through the valley of death because I believe it will nonetheless lead to mount Olympus ;p
Don't get too serious about what's been said/not said in forums, especially on investing.
No need to wait around for people to contribute this forum, anybody a bit more hardworking with the finger on the mouse button can find stocks that are under valued.
stocks like cwt St****** lkh guoco leisure are all stuck in a downtrend and volumes a fraction of when the prices were higher.
the question is will they always remain value stocks or will they ever realize its true value ?
Patience is key..

You are right. I don't remember seeing those names in the Top Volume.

My uncle gave me an advice. No need to study the underlying business. Don't even care if the company makes money. As long as the stocks are heavily traded there's money to be made.

What he said makes a lot of sense. I asked him back, "who are losers then?"

Put yourself in their shoes. If you are the largest share holders of a listed company say the true value is $5 a shares, would you :

A) Be the big hero make everybody happy privatize at $5 as you say realize unlock the true value.

or

B) The heck with everybody else wait for the price to tank to few cts and scoop it all back cheap and unlock for yourself?

Not to say there's no chance, for something like that to happen ie unlock at true value, req someone with a certain kind of personality. hehe Big Grin

Ans: "Not me."

TS probably had not read the sentence that is embedded at the top of valuebuddies webpage that encompasses the spirit of this forum.
The typical behavior of the members here is to bored those TA people to death so that they will look for greener pastures.
