❀❀Future Homes, Better Lives❀❀

Plans for Bidadari, Punggol Matilda and Tampines North towns were unveiled this evening.

Capitalising on the individual distinctive character of each town to bring about a unique identity and living experience, the plans will build on each estate's history, distinctive local flavour and features.

These new urban design concepts will add to the vibrancy of the Singapore housing landscape and characterise our next generation of public housing as we move forward in the next decade.

The first project in Punggol Matilda will be launched in Sept's BTO exercise, followed by Tampines North in the second half of 2014 and Bidadari in 2015.

Visit the exhibition @ HDB Hub (Toa Payoh) from now till 15 September to find out more about the broad development plans for these new housing areas, or click here for more info http://www.hdb.gov.sg/futurehomesbetterlives

Mature town BTO certainly will not be cheap. Only those at far away places are so call "cheaper"
New towns will turn matured in 10 yrs time. In mid 80s nobody wanted to step into Tempinis.

So better get on the boat early this time. Esp minister say these gonna be even BEtTER than ever before.

Dont cry father cry mother 10yrs later say mtb again.
Taken together with all other infrastructural development announced recently such as NSE, MRT lines, HDB flats, changi airport T5, southern waterfront city, its clear that spore is embarking on a massive national development spree.

Should create a mega trend locally to which could benefit the construction and engineering industry. Chip eng seng? Pan utd? Tat hong? UE e&c?
Agree. Anal ists are saying growth driver will be construction and healthcare going forward for next few good years.
But majority of this are public projects which will have relatively lesser margins. Don't expect the construction guys to earn fat profit unless they can get huge volume.

Maybe the upstream guys? Steel and cement?

Malaysian cement players? Where do Singaporean construction guys procure their cement?
IIRC think should be Pan United & Hong Leong Asia
