When you get your principle wrong, you get all sort of seemingly rationale but nonsensical results. The belief of survival of the fittest ie they earn the right to screw everyone else, is one reason why wall street elites are not purged. Belief of bottomline economics regardless of other stakeholders is how Singapore got into this mess now, started with Goh era.
I'm just glad that most academics are too fragile to run for elections
