This may facilitate the Cheng familly from taking private thru a cheaper path.

Thats assuming others fail to ask for excess warrants.
Why should Cheng Buck Poh sell his control when most of his children and relatives are working in HaiLeck ?

I would assume they all have a share in Hai Leck too. They are part of the family.
Although they may own shares in HaiLeck, but they may not be longer employed in the company if Cheng is not the majority shareholder of the possible merged entity
( If other company buy over HL ).

Im sure any competitor who buys over HL will need HL's manpower to work on more projects and to complete existing order books.

Yup, and after that, depending on orders book, see if there is still a need to retain them Big Grin

But I dont suppose it matters to the Chengs if the takeover offer is good to begin with.
Xr tomorrow. Bought some today , selling party was KimEng.
I believe theres quite a fair bit of profit recognition from existing contracts coming in Q3 2013. FY net profit for 2013 will be solid barring unforseen circumstances.
So far their order book so so, about 70m only.
High trade volume today. 721 lot now.
