Business outlook bad for real estate industry here: Govt survey

SINGAPORE - The business outlook for the real estate industry for the next half of the year is negative, according to the latest Department of Statistics survey findings on business expectations for the service sector released today.

The industry cited the series of government measures introduced in the property market and for loan debt servicing ratios for their bearish outlook. Expectations for the financial and insurance industry were slightly negative given uncertainty on the US Federal Reserve’s plan on qualitative easing.

So if property and banking are lousy, what is expected to do well? Shipping? manufacturing or hospitality? All looks equally bleak too...

Those i think should continue to do well,

1) Transport (SBS/COMFORTDELGO...SMRT(special case)
2) Healthcare (PARKWAY..etc)
3) TELCOs (SINGTEL)
4) Specific Engineering - STE/KELCORP/SEMBCORP/HYFLUX
5) FOOD (Shengsiong/Diaryfarm)

Wonder if Singapore Casket will do a IPO?

Just for information purpose, Singapore Casket's parent company is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange under the name of InovoCare Ltd.
