South Korea Tries to Curb Parents' Education Spending

LinK: http://www.businessweek.com/articles/201...n-spending

I wonder would our country face the same problem of having an excess of university graduates resulting in underemployment. Also, similar to South Korea, we have parents who spend tremendous proportion of their income (approx. 10-15% of income) on enrichments programs and tuition. Any potential future ramifications on our economy if this trend persists or tuition war escalates?
that's a million dollar questions that needs lots of grey hair to get a decent answer Smile
As a parent with young kids, I am not sure if I will fall into this black hole as well though for now me and my wife have said not to emphasize too much on education but on his character building and all.

I see it from a fear based rather than winner mentality , really.

Parents want their kids to have a winning edge when they get out to work, nothing wrong with that. But are they doing the right thing ?
