SINGAPORE — It was another bad day yesterday for property shares on the Singapore Exchange, with all the major developers closing in the red, undermined by continued worries over rising global interest rates.
“There are concerns of QE (quantitative easing) tapering in the United States, which has caused a drag … What’s happening in China is also weighing on sentiment. Within the Straits Times Index (STI), finance and property stocks in particular have suffered hits,” said Mr Jason Hughes, CMC Markets’ Head of Sales Trading.
