LinkedIn crosses 1-million-member mark in Singapore
SINGAPORE — LinkedIn, the social networking website for professionals, today announced that its membership base in Singapore has surpassed one million, approximately doubling since 2011 when it first established a presence in the Republic.
With this milestone, LinkedIn is now home to about 70 per cent of the country’s professional labour force and student population, according to the company’s estimates. The Singapore market is also the fourth in Southeast Asia that surpassed the 1-millon member mark on LinkedIn, after Malaysia, Indonesia and The Philippines. Other markets in Asia Pacific with more than a million members include Australia, India and China.
