the best 30 year investment that I can think of is not from stock market 
but to buy a small hecter cheap land in malaysia and grow durian trees. Not very sure rate of return but considers 1 durian picked in m'sia and sold goes for around 30-40 sen when retail in singapore ranges from few dollar to nearly 80 dollar for top grade varierty and there's insatiable demand fro singaporean whom never seem to get tired of it and no such thing as too much durian to eat and now I hear china slowly also catching the durian bug means in a few years all the inventory will be sucked dry from m'sia there might not be enough good durians to export to singapore so having durian trees will be like having a few goose to lay milky golden eggs.
