Perhaps he was referring to the EGM held in Dec 2009 -

Chanced upon this recent article from SFGate.

Interesting to note the below replicated - "Laryngeal Mask Airways (LMA) are gradually replacing endotracheal tubes (ETT) in surgical procedures since they are easier to use and are less invasive. Key benefits of LMA include easier insertion of the tube into the trachea, fewer airway complications, and lesser requirement of anesthetic agent. Additionally, LMAs are available in both single-use and reusable designs and offer fewer side-affects in comparison to endotracheal tubes."

Any professionals in the medical field who can attest to the above?

I'm not a medical professional but I recently attended a talk by LMA. While their product can be used as such, some medical professionals are reluctant to replace ETT with LMA especially in emergency field service due to fear of law suits - ETT while intrusive it does not cause patients to swallow their own vomits (if happen) and block their own lungs (may die) but LMA's has such risk. Having said that in non emergency case if patients' risk is low they can use the non intrusive LMA product which suppose to enable faster recovery....

One of my smallest holding. Wanted to accumulate more when the storm attacks, since now dark cloud is gathering Sad

Offer price $0.62 is at PE 17x, doesn't seem very attractive why the management so eager to sell.

How come lately so many good stocks get acquisited, or get privatized? There are really not much good stocks left in the SGX. At least not those terribly fully valued.

The deal is not done yet.
So, there is a discount to distribution value since there is still an inherent risk that the deal may not go through.

very 'sian", another potential multi-bagger bites the dust. i am going to vote against the deal at the EGM. Where can you find a small cap comapny in sgx that has a global foot print with patented technology and in an industry that is recession proof in this kind of global economic slowdown!! The buyer is not paying for future growth of the company. Reject the offer!

i understand that there are risks.. but typically market usually trade much close to the price.. say 0.60 to 0.62.. isnt it?
