A little while after GFC2008, i remember the US started to crack down tax evaders and forced the Swiss Gov and banks to provide the list of US citizens that were hiding $ in their country.
More recently, an investigative journalist group managed to obtain records spanning 30years of the offshore accounts at the BVI. It gave a teaser of some of the names that they found and has already caused the resignation of a close aide of the current French president.

It remains to be seen what will come next, but i have a general feeling that the era of the power of the rich is slowly coming to an end.
