I usually focus on FA but look out for TA, SA and QA.

I sold a small portion (17%) of PNE Ind on Tuesday, but I want to sell the remaining shares for higher price as I think the new owner will likely have some plans for PNE Ind.

Dow Jones about to break down on Thursday. I sold all PNE Ind shares and reduce other shares/portfolio on Thursday in anticipation Dow Jones break down on Thursday.

Dow Jones will perform/attempt rebound (intraday) tonight, but it is very difficult to predict how long or how deep is the correction. Just need to wait for more news from US and other parts of the world.

and if there is a sharp rebound you would have missed the boat. IMHO if you do FA then FA all the way. Mixing in some TA would just result in it being TA or an unsuccessful investment. Most of significant market gains are in just a few bull days. Plus we all know how TA is based on predictions which as you say is "very difficult"

If there are really new plans by new owners good, if not those sellers are forgetting the recent dividend bump (before the 2 cent one) that was a result of jump in profit and not from one time gains. This alone could provide a sudden gap up in price.

PNE is still a fundamentally sound business, I would say even better now that money losing PNE PCB has been sold for a profit. The next result announcement could really be a surprise Big Grin
Interesting news:

PNE PCB: Credit Suisse emerges as big shareholder.

Switzerland-based financial services company Credit Suisse Group AG has emerged as a substantial shareholder in loss-making circuit board maker PNE PCB with a 5.69% stake. A filing with Bursa Malaysia showed that Credit Suisse acquired 3.75m shares in the company on the open market on 31 July. Credit Suisse is registered as Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Ltd, of One Cabot Square, London, E14 4QJ, England. The stock closed up 3 sen to RM1.07 on volume of 1.46m shares yesterday. The stock is up 151.76% ytd or 64.5 sen. The ascension of the stock price started in early-May from the 72 sen level.

Still waiting for the third tranche shares sold announcement.

I think big movement will begin next week after the completion of sale by Hummer Investments Limited. Majority of the Tans have ceased to be substantial shareholder, if they dump the shares on open market they need not declare. So if the price drop next week, we know that the Tans are dumping and we should too. If the price jump then we know they are caring directors that take care of other shareholders, we probably should hold longer. Otherwise, the 2 catalysts to price movement would be the disposal of PCB shares and full year result which good dividend or special dividend may be declared.
If you think the Tans are good people, you may want to pick up some shares today. But this is purely gambling and you should only take small position especially liquidity is an issue for this counter. IMHO...
No news on the sales of the third tranche shares yet and plus the extension on the deal with Hummer Investments. FY results generally will be announced in End-Nov. All these may be wrap before results announcement?

btw, does anyone have any info on Hummer Investments? I tried searching thru the net and all I got is Wayne Hummer Investments. Are they the same? Can anyone enlighten? Thks.

vested.
No I could not find anything on Hummer Investments or the principal, Mandias Sintesana, either.

In my view, there is a distinct possibility that the Sales and Purchase Agreement may not go through but that's just my guess. There could be something brewing as well since in the first place, Hummer was bothered to enter into this agreement and all at $0.30128. Nobody knows.

The third tranche probably not sold yet and i guess that they may be waiting for better market conditions or price.

In any case, I am looking forward to the full year result and my guess is there should be a dividend declared.
Thanks for sharing your views.

I am indeed curious on the purchase price by Hummer at such a premium. The initial delay follow by the extension has probably raise the eyebrows on those vested, at least me. Just have to keep finger cross anyway.

The FY results should be good (cos of the sale of shares). Dividends... I think that will depend whether they can complete the sale of the third tranche before announcing results.

In the Teledata(suspended counter) 2009 AR he is listed as a top 20 shareholder. So this company has gone from an individual investor into an investment company.

Definitely something big is coming with the deal taking so long to work out...

Given Indonesian investors are not jokers and usually know their targets worth (indonesians that took out guthrie?) probably a good chance PNE is worth more than 30cents somewhere...
Who knows, Hummer may end up launching a Mandatory Takeover Offer at $0.30128 if its shareholdings cross 30%.

In the meantime, its the curious case of who is Mandias Sintesana...
Something could be brewing here. Either Full Year Results coming soon since Half Year was released on 28 Apr 14 or impending news on the sale of shares.

Anyway, I don't see much downside to the stock now. At the worst, the sale of shares don't materialize but I do think the current price has not factored in the potential upside from possibly strong results and/or the sale of shares at $0.30128 and its implications.
