Many "high profile celebrities who earn the big bucks" have in fact had money problems, principally from overspending, which points to poor or non-existent financial advice from their agents, friends, family and such.

Some examples:

Mike Tyson earned at least $300m over his career but filed for bankruptcy in 2003.
MC Hammer of "You Can't Touch This" fame also filed for bankruptcy in 1996.
Elton John filed for bankruptcy in 2002.
Locally, Fandi Ahmad has reportedly lost most of the money he earned due to poor investments.

Hammer and Elton have since recovered, but not every celebrity wakes up before their earning power runs out.

You can probably add Nicholas Cage to this list. From what I've read, he spends crazy amounts on completely useless stuff. But since he still can command a very high salary for his movies (of which I don't particularly enjoy), I guess he is still able to keep up with his extravagant lifestyle.

Many of the celebrities in your examples found out the hard way what happens when the cash inflow tap runs dry, but the outflows still continue unabated! Tongue

I was going to mention Nicholas Cage but it seems his problems are mainly due to unpaid taxes. Apparently he's been taking a lot of low-quality movie roles solely for the paycheck, in order to make good on his IRS dues.

mike tyson losing his money probably had little to do with spending except for cars drugs women and 2 bengal tigers didn't really buy much maybe all in only spent 20 million considering he had over 300-400 million at one stage.

More I think to do with his being a serial skirt chaser and wife beater that landed him his troubles paying alimony for 3 divorces would have completely bled him dry. Big Grin

always seems women are the downfall for wealthy men.
