I have an acct with UOBKH. For the normal account, online rates is 0.22% for $50k to $100k. Negotiable if >$100k.

Go check their FAQ 6 at http://www.utrade.com.sg/index.jsp
Try Citi Bank brokerage if you don't like your stocks under other custodians except CDP. They have Stop Loss Order and Good Till Cancel order. But your buy order is valid only when you have CASH UPFRONT with them. No CPFIS is allowed.

I believe this list is outdated, the commission already must lower now

These fee differences are irrelevant for small and large investors alike.

For small investors it is the minimum (typically $25) that matters, you won't get the 0.x% until your transaction is $10k or more, and even then you'll save maybe $5-10. Drink one less Starbucks coffee and there's your $5.

For large investors, the rates are negotiable. As the table shows, once you go above $50k per transaction, the fees start coming down. Very large investors may pay 0.1% or even less.

If MAS has good regulations in place, counterparts risk should be minimal. In the event these brokers fold up, the shares should be transferred back to owners.
