There is no reason to feel regret of buying high if that high is future low, not easy to digest and absorb properly, not even for myself.

SSC, the overlooked leveraged BOND structured by Veteran shipping tycoon Ow CK?

If anyone who is looking to invest in shipping trusts, they may be better looking at this COMPANY since there are no fanciful financial engineering here just plain ability to tap on connections that help lock in super long contractual agreement with blue chip shipping companies and arbitraged the contract against cheap funding over similar duration.

There are no secret ingredient here just plain experience, acument, hardwork and patience to secure and structure lucrative deals... how lucrutive... only time will tell...

For a conservative tycoon to leverage up to 100% gearing to set sail on a new voyage after cashing up before GFC, I dare to place my blind faith in CK Ow. Certainly very minimal Chow Kuan here.

Agreed. Smile

It's a clear, clean, well-operated biz. In fact, we can expect results to show soon, 2015 onwards..

In OW we trust! Big Grin
Still cant understand why people willing to stay vested in rickmers and first ship lease. They pay out so little after so much leverage yet SSC pays out a decent yield before all the leverage

If you guys are interested in SSC, you will definitely be interested in CHina Merchants Pacific. Good Yield without a full payout.

Ow is not a PRC

SSC is not state-owned enterprise.

Hardly comparable companies.

On another note, pleasantly surprised by the rising trend. It would seem more people are taking notice of the significant increase in SSC earning power once all the vessels are delivered.
