I'm also surprise on the 1 year warranty. IIRC, the condo I bought in 2002, the warranty was extended till 4th (5th?) year after TOP...

I do understand the pain of the condo owners, with the price they paid.

there are still quite a few Sentosa Cove units left unsold.
just wondering if the court case will hurt their reputation, reducing their selling potential.

The sail was launched at $900 psf. The later buyers bought at close to $2000 psf. So the later cohort demand luxury from a $900psf condo?

Case or no case is not the point. The buyers are buying LUXURY condo. Launched at $1500psf in 2007 onwards. $1500 psf is high end luxury.

Even Ho Kwon Ping and Tan Cheng Bock bought, Wan Bao reported.

For a high end condo, if you are owner, would you expect the wood to be termite infested after just 4 years?

I think falling tiles is unacceptable. However, I been to Sentosa cove for a friends birthday lately. I realize a few things.. Most of the units are empty as they are purchase by rich magnets all over the world. They probably treat this as a holiday property. When you have most of the units sold but not properly maintained, things can get really ugly. Some of the pool are algae infested, lots of ants, flies and mosquitoes due to collection of rain water. You can weeds growing out of the grass. etc.

That's actually spells trouble. Developers been building so many high end luxury apartment, houses to be snapped up by the super rich and nobody stays in it.

This is just my observation..
Very interesting observation with investment properties vs stay-in properties. It is also evident in some Chinese townships. Dynamics change totally. Another reason why government should control investment flow and hot money.
Eating at metropolis mcdonalds. Brisk business at mac. Great location...lots of people need to pass by every morning.

Ho Bee Investment Ltd changes name to Ho Bee Land Limited, unveils new corporate logo, and relocates headquarters to The Metropolis.

Won't affect the title of this thread though.

Chairman and CEO took a 40% in a chocolate business. According to an article I came across.

Wonder if he is still keen on growing his business... or more interested in getting it privatised in due course
