I've noticed a lack of prior discussions regarding this company.

Its price has declined close to 50% from a peak of USD 4.00, which provides a P/B ratio per share of almost 1.

The dividend yield (>8%) is pretty decent at this price, though this is the result of a very high dividend ratio.

Other than a recent general decline in earnings because of lacklustre demand in the electronics industry, are there any factors (most notable, any evidence of poor management) that have contributed to the significant decline in share price?

I am thinking of adding this counter to my portfolio if a price drop of >20% or more is observed (a fair company at a good price?).

Cheers,
Willow
Yup price look reasonable especially with the new factory in china start to contribute. Fairly close to NAV. Is a good play if u believe the demand is picking up
Any one has a view on this? Fundamentals looks positive.

used to own this company but sold off after the dual lisitng and netted big profits. couple of reasons why i sold

1. over value at that time
2. mgt is ignoring singapore shareholders and move the agm now to hk
3. company is investing into property vs their core biz. look at the parent kingboard group n you will know what i mean
4. the pcb biz is in over capacity an vol not picking up strongly from their lows. pc biz on the decline n taken up by smart phones which uses less sq footage of pcb
I would want to know why the tax rate of 7% is so low... especially if you think that the business should be largely measured on an earnings basis
Adding in a post on Elec & Eltek.

Over the last one year, price has fallen 28%

https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=E...I;range=1y

Saving grace is that the stock has been downgraded by analysts, so, potentially pessimism will start setting in.

I suspect we will see some dividend cut as the earnings were poor so far in year based on q1 results, which will let the bears out in force.

After that , one can look to go bottom fishing
The dividend has been cut from 7 cents to 3 cents.

Ex - Dividend date is on 14th August.

Last year, the dividend was cut to 7 cents from 9 cents.

The share price took a 25% dive from 2 $ / share to 1.56$ / share.

If one expects history to repeat / rhyme, one would see the share price dive from current 1.19 or so.

Adding the financial results of the company in the post.

Will it be attractive at that point, potentially, as if it falls below 1$, it may help management to make a de-listing offer as they are already listed in Hong Kong.
3Q2014 financial results will be announced on Monday, 3 November 2014 after 5.05pm.
3Q 2014 results show loss. No reaction in price
