Hi everyone... Very disappointed with the management of UMS due to the sell down! Got out today because I do not want to live in frustration, luckily bought it low, minimum losses.

Probably the best entry point (IMO) is 0.46-47 based on my technical analysis. Will I go in at that price, probably no. I will stick to Mid to Large cap stocks from now on...

I also got my CMA by catching the falling knife. Time will tell if this will be another success.Shy
Hi Valuebuddies, I have some odd lots (500). So if i bought another 500shares through the temp UMS50 counter, the broker charge will be charged as normal? ($25++)

I am afraid yes. I didn't experience it, but I will think it should be the case.

The last time I did, was to buy "x full lots + odd lot" in the temporary odd lot counter. It will avoid the minimum charge, and also rounded up my odd lot to full lots.

The same can be applied for sell.

I hope I didn't confuse you further.

You should transact in the unit share market instead, since some brokers like POEMS charges only a minimum $10 brokerage for unit share market transactions.

Unless if you're using stan chart then they do not have any min commission fee. Bought some to round up my odd lots.

The transaction costs makes it not worthwhile... It's only around S$200 and shouldn't have much of an impact.

I'd write it off on paper, and leave it be. One fine day, when SGX finally allow people to trade in 1 share instead of 1,000 you'll be able to cash it out... who knows it might be worth S$1k by then Smile

Just see volume and gauge if large selling is over.

It is sad that UMS management did not clarify the drastic drop after Bonus Issue which is supposed to be good for the company and shareholders (based on theory), however, with the benefits from hindsight, it seems to me that the management just want to push up the prices in order for them to sell off their holdings at higher prices... Anyway, it is my wrong judgment to hold the shares after bonus issue, I take it upon myself so that I learn and move on.
