Ok, I must admit that I have been to a few of these talks before, and the only reason I am willing to spend time attending these talks is greed: (1), I greed for the food they offer, and (2) I greed for the shopping vouchers they gave after the talk. At the same time, I want to know what they have to offer, but ask me to sign on the dotted line, no way.

To me if i know more or less the seminar is something like or close to the above "coys", i will not put myself at risk by attending. Because if the sale-people super sweet-talk can not work on you, have you heard of "hypnotism" or "self-fulling-prophesy" can work on some people? i know it may work on me, therefore don't ever put myself into such situation.

We (wife) were in such situation while on holiday in KOH SAMUI. The scammers are all "ANG MOH". We will never forget the experience. Please don't try to be KK or think there is a free lunch. The freebees are the very first things to entice or trap you.
Please think twice before it's too late.

As for those who are just easy going ,"gullible & pliable", my sympathy.
The more these people should not go.
i know i have some relatives or friends who are like that.
i am sure you do too.
My sympathy- We are all actually make differently.
Shalom.

EcoHouse winds up, creditors to meet next week to start Singapore investors who put money into its Brazilian housing project have filed a class-action suit

ECOHOUSE Developments Limited, the Brazilian social-housing developer that amassed up to S$65.55 million from Singapore investors and then left them largely unpaid, has met its demise.

Come Jan 15, creditors will meet at the Talbot Hotel in the UK for updates from EcoHouse's directors on the company's statement of affairs, and then appoint a liquidator to wind up the company and distribute its assets appropriately

To the moderator:

I think we should put back the whole thread on Ecohouse now that the threat of legal suit is not there. This is so that other newbies can learn from this.

The very first batch of posts have been deleted, and non-recoverable, but the subsequent posts were kept. I merged the new thread into the old one, which has contained some discussion of Ecohouse, for ease of reference.

Thanks

To the Moderator,

I agree with Jacmar,

Sometime ago, some Value Buddies were trying to warn others about investing in Eco House and were threatened & warned. Later the posts were removed.

Now you see what happens to Eco-House: https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/invest...ector.html

Can you also tell me whether we can still put up new Post. If can, let me know how to do it.
Thanks,

Weekend is family days for me, thus late in reply.

On the last incidence, I am not directly involved as moderator, thus I knew little on the decision process. But I support the decision as an outsider.

Benefit of doubt is a basic right. Reasonable doubts are allowed, but we often go beyond the line in our discussion.

Let's go back to Eco-House. The same rule applies, reasonable doubts are allowed. Please back any accusation with hard facts. I reckon with the current state of the Eco-house, facts are easily available

I will continue to moderate posts, and will act accordingly as needed and as appropriate.

Thank you
