I don't think there will be any update on Myanmar play.
There will not be any additional dividend... I hope i am wrong!
the edge say the ceo forcasting earnings to 25 mil in fy13 and 28 mil to fy14
Looks like NERA is evolving from value to growth. Hope dont sell too cheap like Eltek or our ex-minister Chandra Das (so much for Talented private sector worth!!).

No body is above market, it is ever evolving and challenging. So is the politics of business, today you're king of the black mole hill, tomorrow you may be just a ordinary man in white.

I think now its all up to the CEO and his team to steer for growth.

It does sound fantastic when compared to FY12 Net Profit = $19.4Mil!
But.... the acquisition of the remaining 70% stake in Nera Malaysia would have a Proforma impact to Q1 Net Profit from $5.844Mil (1.61ct/share) to $12.828Mil (3.54ct).

Of this ~$7Mil "extra" profit, $6.6Mil comes from Negative Goodwill (whatever that is) + $519k from Nera Malaysia Net Profit (this is the recurring component and can be used to project for the FY14 figures...).

So, the CEO forecast is likely simply coming mostly from this Nera Malaysia acqusition...Rolleyes

Does anyone know if the 'Visa PayWave' machine or 'Nets Flash pay' machine comes from Neratel?

Looks like you're very well informed, how come kicking yourself?

The Edge running a story on NERA - venture into new product.

This 1 is a bet on the future of Mobile. Are we seeing a revitalized Co. even without the Myanmar story?

Just read the rather positive article in TheEdge. I was earlier wondering whether the CEO would get queried by SGX for such forecasts that's not first announced via SGX Annc... But, the figures were given by an OSK-DMG analyst...

Just in today's BT - Regulators should attend analyst briefings

Extract:
Quote:analYST briefings are interesting affairs from the regulatory standpoint because there's plenty of scope for material information to be selectively disclosed, information that could then be used by recipients to gain an unfair advantage over others in the market.

I have oftentimes read about material information in analysts' reports that never see the light in the company's SGX announcements..... Dodgy
