NeraTel: OSK DMG notes that NeraTel might be the only Singapore winner in the battle for Myanmar’s telco licences, with both Telenor and Ooredoo being NeraTel's existing customers (according to its channel checks). According to the terms in the Myanmar Telco contract (effective from Sep 2013), both Telenor and Ooredoo have nine months to commence operations and need to cover 75% of Myanmar with voice services and 50% with data services within the next five years. In order to cover such a vast area in a short time frame, DMG expect these telco operators to soon open up project tenders to equipment and system integrating vendors as well as to use radio transmission technology in the process. Given NeraTel’s established track record and expertise in the field, house believe that the group has a high chance of winning the tenders. Separately, NeraTel should record its one-off profit of $7m from the recent Nera Malaysia acquisition in the upcoming 2Q results. DMG cites the increasing the likelihood for the company to surprise the market with interim dividends, adjusting its earnings estimates upwards. DMG maintains its BUY rating with TP of $0.79.
Thanks DW, I seem to miss this analyst report, didn't show up in my usual source (remisiers.org).

That said, the increased business prospect of Nera is certainly good news, much more so than the potential interim dividend.

Indeed, just look at Yoma Strategic. Let's not speculate too much. Sometimes, the crowd goes crazy and over-value a stock beyond its realistic growth. Meanwhile, always aim for cheap bargains.

Yup. Agreed.

Neratel still needs to go though official bidding processes for any possible sub-contracts.

IMHO, there's a reasonable chance since Neratel has a track record of doing business with telcos.
Its crazy...Whenever i want to sell, i scared it goes up further.
Neratel suddenly become 1/3 of my stock portfolio.

(very vested)

If it become $1, it will become 60% of my stock holding...Smile
and i can buy a condo 2bedroom with it.
Don't forget it has already given a 4ct dividend!

My 2 ct.
If it goes above 80cts, e yield will go below 5% which imo is over price.
It will not increase dividend because it need the money for new tender esp now for the myanmar thingy.
It might even cut dividend next yr because of it.

Congrats! I see you may have hit your target to get into the Top 20 list... depending on what's your valuation for a 2-bedroom condo...Tongue
Also, 2 x 4ct for those bought before 20-Jul-12...Cool

Don't forget they still have $41.9Mil cash... plus almost zero debts...
IMO, since the Myanmar thingy looks massive, I'd expect Neratel to perhaps tie up with bigger players for any tenders? Perhaps the new Indonesian major shareholder will come in very useful here?? Will keep my fingers crossed but won't lift my hopes too high...Big Grin
Actually my concern is, what if Neratel starts to issue rights/placment or starts to borrow money...they just hire a new CFO whom imo is an expert in this area!
