It's fundamentals are quite strong but I realised that the dividend payout ratio is more than 100%. This would probably mean that the growth would not be great as most earnings have been given away as dividend. Not suitable for those who are looking for growth.

Yes, it is >100% payout base on EPS but only 70% payout base on FCF. In past 5 years, the Free Cash Flow generated is actually sustainable for 3 or 4 cents annual dividend.

If you prefer Growth, once you receive the 10% Dividend Yield, use it to buy more NeraTel stocks and Hey, Presto! You get a 10% Growth stock but No Dividend! Big Grin

The best thing is, you get a choice of whether you want Yield or Growth or a combo of both... Tongue

BTW, FY12 will likely see some EPS growth, coming from the full year contribution of MENA rights. Further, after 3-yrs of non-compete clause for Nera products, who knows, they may start to expand this biz world-wide, assuming they can still get Nera products. Cool
Good one KopiKat!

We can also take the 10% yield of 4 cents and "reduce" our initial purchase cost of 40 cents to 36 cents in our records.

If the stock falls back to 40 cents ex-div, now our stock is up a magical 11%

1 extra percent has now been "engineered" Smile

LOL!

and u should get another div 9mths later apr 2013...
Moral of story - money is money Smile

Doesn't matter whether you call it dividend yield or capital gain.

I not choosy when it comes to investments or trades.

Although it looks very much like a xd/cd kind of stock, using Yahoo Finance data (especially the last 2 years - see Apr onwards price data after it goes xd), in this case, I have buckled up my seat belt to prepare for the ride from tomorrow onwards when it goes xd. My reason is from the data I'd spammed over the last few pages of this thread - it looks like there's a very high probability of turning into a Growth stock for FY12 (only?) coming mainly from a full year Revenue recognition of their MENA distribution rights (acquired in Jan-11). Another precondition that's not present is the absence of FEAR in the market...Tongue

Vulture-One to Vulture-Two : "Get ready to collect more if it drops more than Div = 4ct tomorrow. Own time, own target, Out!" Big Grin

Looking at the past 3 years chart, it appears that it would go down once xD. Let's see if we can collect some below 40 cents...Big Grin
