Hi,

May I know how does one find out the queue info for buying & selling of a particular counter. For instance, if somebody is selling Singtel at $1, how do I find out who else intends to sell at $1.005, $1.01 and so on.. the same goes for buying.

By the way, I am using Poems securities.

Thanks

Hi dzwm87,

You cannot do that with the free web-based trading tool you get when you sign up for POEMS.

You need to get their trading software which allows you to do that and all other trading stuff like setting cut loss etc...

Talk to your POEMS broker on the trading software. I think you need to subscribe to it by paying a sum of money or be trading a certain amount each year to be eligible to get it for free.

my 2 cents. =)

oh thanks alot! think I will pass on paying a premium for it. Smile
DBS Vickers does likewise (i.e. likewise to POEMS). Unless you are a sustained heavy trader, month-in-month-out (=high brokerage fees for DBSV), they charge a monthly fee for the provision of this "bid/ask depth" info. I know its the same in Hong Kong for most brokers.

Hi,

I believe that you are referring to market depth information. For Lim & Tan and Kim Eng, what I know you can redeem the information using the earned point from your trades. Therefore, it can consider as "free".

You may want to go to their website to find more.

Hi,

I have an account with CIMB-securities and my broker was nice to show me how he trades. I believe most free DIY online trading accounts won't have the software to see where you're queued at or the prices people intend to buy/sell at.

From what he showed me, they use a trading platform which they have to buy/subscribe and shows you where you're queued at, the price people are selling etc... Hopefully this may answer your question.

Peter
take note that other traders use it to put in FAKE buy/sell queues.

So beware!! Big Grin
