I am sorry if this is disallowed. Noticed the AGM venue is at wilkie edge which is the address of their auditors, RSM Chio Lim

Is it allowable?

Results not bad, profits consistent and rising and with more infrastructure like the new airport terminal, more jobs up for grab

Posting a link from SGX site is allowed, but I am not so sure AGM venue close to auditor is allowed or not? Big Grin

On 14 Nov, the MD transferred 17mil shares from CIMB back to his CDP account:

Wondering why he needed three nominee accounts amounting to 97 mil shares, in the first place?

I was asked once, why I have so many bank accounts? Well, there are various reasons, none is absolutely necessary. It was due to changed of jobs, mortgaged loans, etc etc.

I would not pay too much attention on the nominee accounts. May be the MD is served by few Private Bankers, and decided to drop one recently...

I guess one possibility might be to purchase the 48mil shares from his brother's estate, around $6.3m.
TTJ posts 10% fall in 1Q earnings to $4 million on lower sales in steel business

SINGAPORE (Dec 10): TTJ Holdings ( Financial Dashboard) has reported a 10% fall in first quarter earnings to $4 million from $4.9 million a year ago.

Revenue fell 23% to $24.7 million for 1Q15 ended Oct from $32.1 million in 1Q14. The decrease was mainly due to lower sales recorded in the structural steel business but offset by the increase in revenue from the dormitory business.

Despite the lower revenue, the group’s profitability improved with gross profit margin rising to 30% in 1Q15 from 25.3% in 1Q14.

TTJ says the improvement was mainly due to an increase in margins derived from the projects secured and executed during the reporting period.

As at Dec 10, the group’s projects order book stands at $99 million. It expects to substantially complete them between FY2015 and FY2016.

To date, TTJ says it continues to experience a healthy level of enquiries for a mix of public and private sector projects. Going forward, the group will continue to monitor its costs closely and enhance productivity to remain competitive.

TTJ closed flat at 35.5 cents today.

Hi!

I'm new to Value investing and after looking through the records of TTJ! It looks really a good undervalued company to invest in...

I was wondering, what do you guys consider competitors to TTJ?
Wanna do a comparison and see how they fare against competitors...

THanks!

I reckon the prospectus document will be a good start.
In short ttj has 2 businesses: steel structural & dormitory.

When you try searching for its steel structural competitor, one may pop up frequently, Yongnam.
Since Yongnam is listed, you may find its annual reports and have a look.

You should be able to get a pretty good picture, by reading the old posts in this thread.
Hi!

Thanks! After reading the forum backdated since 1 year, get more or less a feel of how it is coming along?

But just some thoughts on what do you guys think when the 1st quarterly report is out? Since it is a decrease in both Net earnings and revenue, What do you guys interpret this information as?
Is TTJ considered a cyclical company? Since construction takes a long time to build?

Given the low float of 16%, does this means that the volatility of this share price is low?

Thanks for your time! Smile
