Ohmyhome, a local startup in the proptech space (think Propertyguru, 99.co) is attempting to do a micro-IPO on NASDAQ. 

But it is attracting more attention for the wrong reasons.

Most techs want to list there because valuations in SEA is usually depressed compared to mature markets like the US. But even Propertyguru, which seems much bigger isn't doing well on NYSE.
They are kind of late in the game. I reckon IPO was the 2nd choice for funding beyond VC/PE, since the former invites much scrutiny in public by different players, as it has done now. With VC/PE funding closed 6 months back, the 2nd choice IPO came into the picture. They could have gotten capital via debt in the form of convertible bonds though...
